The staff were lovely the main lounge and food were lovely the adjacent building with larger rooms were nice Bromley house I believe its called across the road very quiet secure nice did the job . I believe it would just do with a bit of money spent on the place as its not been updated in years some of the rooms are old fashioned unloved and things like chairs etc are not fit for purpose .As I say cant fault my room in particular but my family's rooms in main building were not so good. Having had family live in ryde I knew location was just what we needed its ideal right in the centre of town not too far to walk to anything couple of minutes and your on the pier and the lovely ryde beach

The room was very clean and tidy when we arrived. The bed was comfortable and a good size. The location is excellent—right in the middle of lovely local shops. We went straight to explore them, and in the evening, we easily found nice local restaurants within walking distance. We also enjoyed a pleasant walk to Appley Beach, a beautiful and not-too-crowded spot in a lovely area. Plus, there’s free parking and reliable Wi-Fi. I didn’t try the food (unfortunately), but I heard it’s good.

I visit the island on a regular basis as my son lives there so I knew the location was great and I knew the hill was steep. Shops, bars and restaurants all near by and the room was large and comfortable with a TV and tea & coffee facilities. Staff were helpful supplying milk etc when we ran out and put the heating on when it was cold. Had read previous reviews and knew it was dated this does not impact on the stay at all. Shower hot and worked great.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We arrived around 11am to drop our bags off then was going to come back at check in time but advised our room was ready so let us in early which was great! Yes rooms need a bit of a facelift but very clean and large spacious bedrooms. We had breakfast one morning too and this was very good quality, especially the bacon and sausage on our full english. Would happily stay again.

Reception realised I might appreciate a room at a lower level than had been allocated in order to avoid stairs. Used own initiative to relocate me which was much appreciated. Towel rail in bathroom was switched on - found this most useful. Water from the hot taps in the basin and bath were immediately 'hot'. Both these items were most acceptable. Bed and large armchair were very comfortable.
